Bailey’s Long-Awaited Happy Ending

Bailey waited a long time for a family to call his own, but the wait was oh-so worth it for this sweet boy! Surrendered to us at only nine months old, Bailey was incredibly shy and fearful when he arrived at our shelter. Although our team tried to coax him out of his shell, he wasn’t thriving in our regular dog housing. He was enrolled in our Behavior Center, where our team worked extensively to build his trust and confidence through positive reinforcement training.

Throughout his time with us, he slowly opened up to our team and even became a helper dog for other shy pups. He continued to become more comfortable around strangers, and in an extraordinary twist of fate, he was adopted on the same date that he entered our care—two years later.

The time and personalized attention that Bailey received truly saved his life, but this level of care is simply not possible in most shelters across the country.
