Tiny’s Big Recovery

Tiny

Tiny is a sweet Chihuahua puppy who arrived at the shelter with a broken leg. Because of you and other friends of animals, we were able to give her the veterinary care she needed to recover.

Tiny's previous owner couldn't take care of her medical needs, so she was surrendered to a local veterinary hospital. They splinted her leg, then called our Humane Officers for help. We picked her up and brought her to our Bahde Center for Shelter Medicine, where our veterinarians determined that Tiny needed surgery right away.

We fixed Tiny's broken leg by putting in a plate and screws. Then we placed Tiny in a foster home where she could heal comfortably. Her foster family reported experiencing "cuteness overload," thanks to Tiny's love of cuddles and happy nature.

After about a month, Tiny was ready to be adopted and went to a home with two other Chihuahuas! Although, like so many animals, Tiny came to us in pain, we were able to heal her and give her the second chance she deserved. But we couldn't have done it without you. Your legacy of support makes our lifesaving work for animals possible. Thank you!

Your thoughtfulness and compassion are essential to our ability to help animals like Tiny. It's this legacy of kindness and support that friends like you create by including San Diego Humane Society in your estate plan.
